82-Year-Old Sex Offender Charged With Fondling Women in Wal-Mart

An 82-year-old sex offender has been charged with rubbing up against female Wal-Mart customers while touching himself in the checkout line, cops said.

Hector Castro, of Hasbrouck Heights, was arrested at a Wal-Mart in New Jersey this weekend and charged with lewdness and four counts of criminal sexual contact after four women accused him of engaging in bawdy behavior.

Cops showed up at the Secaucus store after getting a call about a man walking up behind women and pressing against their bodies, reports NJ.com. Secaucus Police Capt. John Buckley says detectives have requested security video from the store.

Wal-Mart Assistant Manager Bob Rains, who was working at the time of the arrest, didn't have much to say about the situation other than that it was an "isolated incident," reports NJ.com.

Castro was in prison from 2003 to 2005 on convictions for sexual assault and lewdness, state prison records show. Those crimes were committed in Bergen County, officials told NJ.com. Secaucus is in Hudson County, which borders Bergen County.

It was unclear Monday night whether Castro had an attorney.
