A 79-year-old pedestrian died after being hit by a car while she was trying to cross Bay Parkway in Brooklyn, police said.
According to authorities, King Fong of Brooklyn was struck by a car that was heading southbound on Bay Parkway near 72nd Street shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday.
Fong was pronounced dead on arrival at Lutheran Medical Center.
Officials said the man driving the car that hit her stayed on the scene.
