70-Year-Old Man Charged With Murder in Lower East Side Park Stabbing: Police

A 70-year-old man has been charged with murder in a stabbing death at a popular Manhattan park, police said Saturday. 

Larry Fullewellen, who is homeless, was charged with second-degree murder, the NYPD said. 

He's accused of stabbing Arturo Valdez, 23, on Saturday afternoon at Sara D. Roosevelt Park on Chrystie Street in the Lower East Side. 

Valdez, who was also homeless, was stabbed in the chest and pronounced dead at Beth Israel Hospital.
