A 6-year-old boy with special needs is in stable condition after falling through a third-floor window in the Bronx, police say.

The boy, who may be non-verbal, dropped about 25 feet after falling through the window of a building on Bailey Avenue, at West 231st Street, in Kingsbridge around 7:10 p.m. Friday, the NYPD said. 

He landed on the ground in a garden area below the window, according to police.

The boy was taken to the hospital with a deep laceration on his head, the NYPD said.

Police said he was in stable condition as of around 10 p.m. 

It wasn’t immediately clear how the boy fell, but police said no criminality was suspected.
