A woman and two children were hospitalized after being struck by a car in Staten Island Saturday, authorities said.
A 56-year-old driver was making a left from Osgood Avenue onto Vanderbilt Avenue when she struck a 25-year-old woman, her 4-year-old son, and a 4-year-old girl, police said.
The victims were taken to Staten Island University North Hospital, where the girl suffered trauma to the head and is in critical, but stable condition, police said. The woman and boy had minor injuries, police said.
The driver remained on the scene and was taken into custody, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
