Police Identify 4 Victims Killed in Long Island Head-on Crash

Police on Long Island are investigating a tragic head-on collision late Friday night that left four people dead.

Two vehicles, a 2023 Tesla and 2020 Ford Explorer, were driving along State Route 25 when they collided around 11:30 p.m. in East Marion, police said.

Four victims died in the crash: Heath Miller, 47, of Greenport, New York; William Price, 55, of Wilton, Connecticut; Peter Smith, 80, of Brooklyn; Patricia O'Neill, 66, of Brooklyn.

Police said Miller and Price were riding inside the Tesla, while Smith and O'Neill were in the Explorer.

Details were also limited on the circumstances of the crash. Police only noted in a preliminary report that the incident was being investigated as a head-on collision.
