3 Men Found Dead in Nursing Home; Cause Unknown

Three male patients, ages 77, 72 and 61 were discovered unconscious

Police are looking into the deaths of three patients early Thursday at a nursing home in Brooklyn.

Three male patients, ages 77, 72 and 61 were discovered unconscious and unresponsive by staff workers at the nursing home at 405 Carlton Ave.  All three patients resided on the third floor, police said.

The three men were pronounced dead at the scene and the Medical Examiner’s office is looking into the cause of death.

An administrator at the home, Lawrence Diamond, attributed the deaths to old age.

"There's nothing suspicious as far as I'm concerned," Diamond said. "People are old. People get ill. People pass away. It's very sad."
