3 Hurt, 2 Arrested in Upstate Bar Shootout: Cops

Two men were arrested after three people were injured in a shootout at a sports bar in a small town in upstate New York Sunday morning, police say.

Two brothers, David and Andrew Babcock, and a third man, Kevin Brennan Jr., were all injured when shots broke out at the Victory Lane Bar and Grill in Otisville, according to the New York State Police. None of the injuries were life-threatening.

Gunfire erupted after an argument between the Babcock brothers and Brennan and Thomas Hughes, police say.

Brennan allegedly shot David Babcock, 27, inside the bar, police say, and left. Andrew Babcock followed Brennan, 25, and Hughes, 26, outside, where they exchanged gunfire.

The Babcocks were airlifted to a hospital in Westchester County and Brennan was driven to a hospital in Orange County, police say.

After the shooting, Brennan was charged with gun crimes, reckless endangerment and two counts of assault. Hughes was arrested on weapons charges.

Andrew Babcock hasn’t been arrested, but charges will be considered when the 25-year-old is released from the hospital. Police say his gun was legally owned and registered.
