3 Arrested, 2 Sought After Man Beaten to Death on NYC Street Corner: NYPD

Three young men have been arrested in the beating death of a 38-year-old man on a Brooklyn street corner last month, and two others are still on the loose, according to the NYPD.

Police say 20-year-old Jahi Toussant, 18-year-old Jacob Blakney and a 17-year-old male were charged with manslaughter and gang assault in the Aug. 22 death of Michael Brown.

Brown was punched and kicked repeatedly at Utica Avenue and Sterling Place in Crown Heights at about 4 a.m., police said.

When emergency responders arrived at the scene, Brown refused medical attention. They were called back to his home on Park Place later that day and found him semi-conscious and spitting up blood.

He was taken to Interfaith Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Anyone who may have information on the remaining suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
