3-Alarm NJ Fire Damages 2 Buildings, Injures 3

A three-alarm fire in New Jersey Sunday afternoon engulfed two buildings and injured three people.

The fire began around 3 p.m. inside a three-story building in Hoboken, authorities said.

Residents in the area say they heard popping sounds shortly before flames quickly consumed the building and spread to an adjoining building.

Witnesses said high winds helped fuel the flames and spread smoke before firefighters were able to get the fire under control.

At least three people, including one firefighter, suffered minor injuries, officials said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
