2 Women Arrested on Weapons Charges at LaGuardia

Two women who allegedly tried to board flights at LaGuardia Airport with a stun gun and brass knuckles were arrested Thursday morning, Port Authority police said. 

The first woman, a 19-year-old of Alabama, was arrested at about 5:45 a.m. Thursday when she tried to board a Detroit-bound flight with a stun gun, authorities said. 

The second suspect, a 24-year-old of Georgia, was cuffed about 20 minutes later when she tried to pass through security with brass knuckles. 

Both were charged with criminal possession of a weapon, and taken into custody without incident, Port Authority police said.
