Two teenage boys were charged Saturday with manslaughter in connection with the death of a 15-year-old girl who was shot in the head in her apartment in Queens, police said.
Wilta Wordsworth was shot around noon Friday inside her seventh-floor apartment in the Far Rockaway neighborhood, investigators said. She was taken to St. John's Episcopal Hospital, where she died Saturday.
In addition to manslaughter, the two 15-year-old boys were charged with criminal possession of a weapon and tampering with physical evidence, police said. Their names weren't disclosed by police and it was unclear whether they had lawyers who could comment on the charges.
