New Jersey Teen Shot and Killed Sister's Boyfriend: Prosecutors

The victim was fighting with his girlfriend in the hallway of a building on Bartholdi Avenue when his girlfriend's brother shot him, prosecutors said

A 17-year-old boy was arrested in Jersey City after authorities say he shot and killed his sister's boyfriend early Sunday morning.

According to the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office, the 24-year-old victim, identified as Nigee Paige, was involved in an argument and physical altercation with his girlfriend in the hallway of a building on Bartholdi Avenue when his girlfriend's brother ran down the stairs and shot him.

Police responded at around 1:40 a.m. and found Paige with a gunshot wound to his torso. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.

The teen was charged with murder and firearms offenses. He is being held at the Hudson County Youth Detention Center.
