A 16-year-old boy has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman early Saturday inside her apartment on Manhattan's West Side, police said.
The attack took place just after midnight at a full service luxury building on West 61st Street. The New York Post reports that the 16-year-old was delivering a pizza to the building, when he allegedly broke into the woman's apartment and attacked her.
According to the Post the teen put his hands over the woman's mouth to keep her from screaming. The 35-year-old victim was eventually able to fight off the teen, who then fled the apartment.
The victim was taken to an area hospital and is listed in stable condition, officials said.
Police have arrested Cesar Lucas of the Bronx. He has been charged with rape and burglary.
Investigators at the building were collecting evidence Saturday.
