16 Injured in Harlem Bus-Ambulance Crash

At least 16 people were injured Friday morning in a collision involving city bus, a fire department ambulance and a car in Harlem.

Metropolitan Transportation Authority spokesman Mark Groce said a city bus was standing still at the intersection of 125th Street and Seventh Avenue when a car and an ambulance got into in accident. The ambulance, which was heading to an injured person on Randalls Island, then slammed into the front of the bus.

Groce said 15 bus passengers and its driver were taken to a local hospital. None had life-threatening injuries.

A police spokesman said there was no criminality involved.
