Ten people were injured, three seriously, in a morning apartment house fire in Brooklyn, fire authorities say.
The NYFD says they reported to a fire on the top floor of a six-story building in the Gravesend section at 2:38 a.m. Friday.
The fire was confined to one apartment and was brought under control at 3:55 a.m. Authorities said it started in a bedroom, but they don't yet know the cause.
All the injured were taken to area hospital. Three residents, an 80-year-old man, an 80-year-old woman and a 72-year-old woman, were in serious condition suffering from smoke inhalation. Another civilian had minor injuries.
Six firefighters also suffered minor injuries.
