1 Hurt, 20 Displaced in Fast-Moving NJ Fire

One person was injured and about 20 others were displaced when a fast-moving fire damaged three homes Sunday in northern New Jersey, authorities said.

The blaze broke out early Sunday on Roe Street in Haledon, and borough police helped residents escape the burning homes, authorities said. Authorities are investigating what caused the fire.

The American Red Cross is helping six families, a total of 20 people, following the blaze, the organization said.

It wasn't known if or when the displaced residents would be able to return to their homes, authorities said.

Details on the condition of the injured person were not immediately available.
