A man was killed and two people were injured in a shooting in Newark, prosecutors said Saturday.
Andrew Peppers, 28, of Newark, was pronounced dead shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday, according to the Essex County Prosecutor's Office. The other victims of the shooting, a man and a woman, were expected to recover.
The shooting happened at around 11 p.m. Friday on North 9th Street near William Street, prosecutors said. Authorities are investigating.
