Some Subway Service Suspended

Some subway service that runs above ground has been suspended because of snow and ice buildup.

It includes the D, F, Q and N. All trains were pulled into stations before being suspended.

MTA spokesman Kevin Ortiz says passengers had the option of remaining on the trains to stay warm.

He says the trains should be restored after the morning rush.

Service on the 2 and 5, which also run above ground, has been restored. They had been suspended earlier.

On the N, the suspension is between 59th Street in Manhattan and Stillwell Avenue in Brooklyn. On the D, between 4th Avenue and Stillwell; on the F between Church and Stillwell and on the Q between Prospect and Stillwell.
