Move Over Jersey Shore! Russians May Get a Beach in Brooklyn

Russian-American reality show called "Brighton Beach" is in the works

Guidos? So 2009. The Russkies want to dominate television airwaves.

A Russian-American reality show called "Brighton Beach" is in the works, looking to be the next big television hit since "Jersey Shore" with a sprinkle of borsch on the side.

"Are you a super outgoing and fun-loving Russian-American that sometimes sneaks kalbaska, pel'meni and vodka from the fridge? Can people hear the Euro/Techno/Russian music blasting from your car before they see you pull up?" asks the show's website, Brighton Beach Show.

The show wants exuberant guys and girls ages 21 to 30 who consider themselves to be Russian-American to be the next Snooki and The Situation, who will spend a summer living in an all-expense paid pad in the New York City area. It will most likely be in the Brighton Beach area, known for its large Jewish immigrant population, mostly from the former Soviet Union.

Applicants are evaluated on their "Russianess," based on a 1-10 scale of how well they speak Russian and what they think of Americans.

The show's creators, Alina Dizik, Elina Miller, and Christine Mahin, are still looking for a network to air the program. The Daily News reports that they have met with some major cable network representatives who have shown some interest.

"We are big fans of 'Jersey Shore,' but the Russian community has its own set of characters which we think could be even more interesting," Miller told The New York Post.

"We're hoping to dispel some of the stereotypes and promote some of the others," Dizik told the News. "Not all Russian people just guzzle vodka."

Brighton Beach Show's Facebook fan page currently has 253 fans and has been mentioned by the celeb gossip site Perez Hilton. The deadline for applications is March 8.

Send in a video if you think you can bust a move like JWoww or if your hair product buildup matches Pauly D's, and be ready to eat some cavier with your vodka.
