Devils Pull Off 4-2 Win Over Streaking Panthers

Lee Stempniak and Kyle Palmieri scored first-period goals and Cory Schneider made 34 saves as the New Jersey Devils cooled off the Florida Panthers with a 4-2 victory Sunday night.

Adam Henrique and Mike Cammalleri also scored to help the Devils win for the first time in their last five home games (1-2-2). Schneider stopped Jonathan Huberdeau's penalty shot.

Aaron Ekblad and Huberdeau scored for the Panthers, who saw two streaks come to an end. Florida had won five straight overall, and a club record-tying five in a row on the road.

Jaromir Jagr had two assists in his first game at the Prudential Center since the February trade that sent him from New Jersey to Florida.

Roberto Luongo stopped 14 shots for Florida.
