    Yankees fans that have been unable to make it to games due to high prices now have something to cheer about.

    Modell’s Sporting Goods a long time partner of the New York Yankees, announced today the opening of the first ever Yankees ticket booth at their newly renovated flagship store on 42nd St.

    The kiosk will begin selling tickets on Mon. August 16th. Known as the “Mo Saver,” the booth will only sell Yankee home tickets on the day of the game. Tickets for day games will go on sale at 8:00 a.m. and night game sales will start at 12:00 p.m. 

    The tickets are also discounted up to 50 percent off stadium prices -- but sales are limited to four per person, per game.

"Whether you are visiting and looking to take in a game at the world-famous Yankee Stadium or a New Yorker making last-minute plans on a game day, the new ticket booth is conveniently located at Modell’s Times Square to offer amazing deals on game tickets. We expect the new service to be an instant hit with local fans and tourists alike.”

    The booth is part of Modell’s renovation that seeks to elevate shopping into an "interactive experience."

    Besides the booth the new store also features a 300 square foot video screen on the top level and the “West 42nd Street Basketball Court”, a NYC playground-style court which is built into the design of a 4,000 square foot Nike concept shop.
