Mike Tyson: Chris Brown Is “A Baby”

Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson got tough on Chris Brown -- calling the embattled R&B singer a "baby" for his alleged beatdown of girlfriend Rihanna.

The 42-year old once known as the "Baddest Man on the Planet" was accused of beating his ex-wife and spent three years in jail after he was convicted of raping a beauty pageant contestant in the early 90s.

Tyson said Brown just "didn't know" how to handle his feelings toward his pop princess girlfriend.

"My personal opinion about it is he's just a baby," Tyson told MTV News. "He's just a little baby that don't know how to handle his emotions when it comes to a woman. ... But the fact [is], you look at this person and you might be crazy in love, but we don't know how to handle those feelings."

Iron Mike belittled Brown for his actions but said he can relate to the rage the 19-year old was feeling when he beat Rihanna bloody.

"I understand the situation," Tyson said of Brown. "I understand passion with young kids."

The champ blamed violence against women on a "pimp mentality" embraced by young people and said he regretted being violent toward women.

"You can't abuse them. It's really sick what you [can] do," he said. "She has a space in your heart and you believe you care about her more than anybody in the world. Do I think it's right to beat up a woman? No -- hell no. Have I hit a woman before? Hell yea. Was I wrong? Hell yeah.

Tyson infamously bit off Evander Holyfield's ear during a fight in 1997 -- but said he would never hit a woman again.

"I'm a product of that environment. Do I regret ever doing that? Hell yeah. Would I do it again? Never," he told MTV News.

Brown, 19, is accused of beating girlfriend Rihanna, 21, during a pre-Grammy night argument that turned violent in February.
