- The NFL is considering moving the Super Bowl to the U.K., according to a league exec. The league had "substantive talks" with London officials about hosting the Big Show in the city. Though officials across the pond are vying to have the championship game overseas, the venues for the next three Super Bowls have already been decided.
- Residents of a small Nevada town plans to blast Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones from dusk until dawn to try to deter crickets from infiltrating their community. The critters march across the desert in swarms that can be miles across and miles long -- crawling over roads, homes and vegetation. Snowplows had to be called in to scrape off the layer of dead bugs that piled up on an area highway last year.
- Night owls have more stamina than early birds, a new study shows. Research indicates that those who stay up late stay focused for longer.
- A cloned beagle and four other puppies are the first-ever to glow in the dark. The pups have genetic information from sea anemones that help them produce a protein that glows under UV light. Researchers cloned and transferred genes from the sea-based species into the dog.
