Gunman Opens Fire at Arkansas Democratic Party HQ in Little Rock

Party chairman hospitalized in critical condition

A gunman opened fire inside the state Democratic Party headquarters in Little Rock, AR today, shooting party chairman Bill Gwatney several times, according to KHTN. Gwatney did not survive the multiple gunshot wounds The shooter fled the scene in a blue pick-up truck and was apprehended after police gave chase and shot the suspect. The fugitive shooter later died of his injuries. The Arkansas state Democratic Party headquarters is located just blocks from the state capitol in Little Rock. Gwatney was the finance chairman during the campaign of Arkansas Gov. Mike Beebe. He's also a super delegate who endorsed Hillary Clinton in her presidential bid, according to Fox news.
