Ellen and Portia to Marry This Weekend

Lesbian television stars headed for altar

There will be no shortage of blushing brides at a marriage ceremony this weekend.

Talk-show hostess and comedienne Ellen De Generes and actress Portia de Rossi will take advantage of the California Supreme Court's "right to marry" ruling regarding gay marriage to exchange vows, according to US Magazine.

DeGeneres is nabbing a younger lady––she's 50 and de Rossi is only 35––but the two have been together for a four years. Ellen De Generes came out of the closet as a lesbian in 1997 when she publicized her romantic involvement with actress Anne Heche. The announcement was a controversial one at the time. Heche later disavowed her lesbianism after a strange incident where she was found wandering in a remote area claiming that she'd been contacted by extraterrestrials and suffered from mental illness.

DeGeneres and de Rossi have been involved since 2007 and announced their engagement the day after California's Supreme Court announced its gay marriage ruling.
