It's almost time for the FDNY to unveil its annual muscle flexing for charity -- otherwise known as their wildly popular pinup calendar.
The department released behind-the-scenes video of photo shoots for the upcoming 2012 edition, where shirtless studs hold hoses and axes while posing in front of fire trucks and burning flames.
As always, the real page-turners are the muscles; the calendar promises an eyeful of pecs, abs and biceps.
This edition is the first official calendar since 2008. Proceeds will benefit the FDNY Foundation, a fire safety education non-profit.
Fire officials say the calendar should be available for purchase this spring.
