What You're Doing Tonight, 5/8

Bjork casts her spell on you, Snakes on a Plane goes interactive, and boxing is back at the Armory.

BUBBLE AND SQUEAK: Wherever Bjork goes, the party follows, so you can be sure that the sprite's intimate show at the Housing Works Used Book Café's Live From Home Series will be a rager. (An Icelandic, arty rager.) She'll debut a song cycle for five voices and guitar, aided (and abetted) by the Dirty Projectors, whose founder penned the piece. 8PM.

RING CYCLE: The Church Street Boxing Gym's annual amateur show kicks off tonight with Friday Night Fights: The Big Show No. 3. Muay Thai's Kittisak Noiwibon and Kenyan Omar Ahmed will go pound for pound at the Lexington Avenue Armory. 7PM.

SLITHER: Snakes on a Plane gets the MST3K treatment -- live -- as the Raspberry Brothers provide running commentary during the screening. Kind of like being a fly on the wall in their living room, only in a theater, with other people, at midnight. Clearview Chelsea, 12AM.
