What You're Doing Tonight: 3/3

Tricky heats up the Fillmore, shanties kick off St. Pat's madness, and a night of short films from the Iraqi front lines

TRICKED OUT: His success may feel a little 1996 these days, but Adrian Thaws, a.k.a. Tricky, is still going, and still intriguing. The granpappy of trip-hop hits Irving Plaza (sorry: Fillmore New York) in support of his newish album Knowle West Boy. 9PM.

CAUSE: Anthology Film Archives presents "Obama's Iraq," a night of short films "from the front lines" of the American occupation. Probably not the most feelgood way to spend a Tuesday evening, but certainly a very compelling one. 7:30PM.

POT 'O GOLD: It's March, and you know what that means: Green stuff and shamrock overload! Stories and Shanties: A Night of Irish Culture is an evening of readings at Lolita Bar from a host of Emerald Isle lit types like Mick Moloney. 6:30PM.
