What You're Doing Tonight, 3/20

The Budos Band funks you right, Ébène Quartet gets a cult following, and Latin legend Johnny Pacheco gets a Town Hall birthday bash.

FUNKAFIED: We heart the Budos Band -- whose music sounds a bit like the soundtrack to some lost installment of the Shaft series -- and we even think they're worth getting on the Path train for. That's deep love, kids. Maxwell's (Hoboken), 9:30PM.

FOURPLAY: Ébène Quartet is no ordinary classical group of four. Yes, they do more than serviceable justice to Mozart and Beethoven. But the Parisian band can also tear through genius takes on everyone from Miles Davis to Bruce Springsteen. They're at (Le) Poisson Rouge at 7:30PM.

CUMPLEANOS: Johnny Pacheco was recently rewarded with the Latin Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, so the Latin jazz legend could totally head to Florida to kick back in elastic-waist pants. But no. He'll be at Town Hall for Happy Birthday El Maestro! A Birthday Concert and Celebration of a Legendary Life in Music, which promises all sorts of surprise special guests. 8PM.
