What You're Doing Tonight: 1/16

Ida Maria takes Brooklyn, laughing at funerals (in a church!), and reviving the Dead, man

POP TART: Norwegian singer-songwriter Ida Maria has blunt bangs, a voice that sounds like a drunken woodland sprite, and a song called "I Like You So Much Better When You're Naked" that we can't stop humming. She'll sing it - and more - at Union Hall at 8PM.

KILLER: Opening tonight at the Unitarian Church of All Souls (how fitting) and running through 3/15, Stacy Mayer's one-woman show The Funeralogues explores the funny-ha-ha side of death. 8PM.

FAR OUT: A bevy of musicians bring the Dead's music to life, man. The American Beauty Project: The Music of the Grateful Dead will showcase a handful of alt-ish types like Larry Campbell and members of the Ollabelles at Frederick P. Rose Hall's the Allen Room. 8:30PM.
