What You're Doing This Weekend, 5/16-17

Leonard Cohen, Kelly Clarkson, onscreen nookie and more happenings around town this weekend

HALLELUJAH: He's the man, the master, the king, the dude, one of the greatest poets of the 20th century -- and yet we still kind of prefer to hear his songs covered by other people. No matter! Leonard Cohen will bring it at Radio City Music Hall, people will freak out, rapture-style, and it'll all be fairly epic. Saturday and Sunday, 8PM.

GO EAST: In case you doubted the cultural importance of anime, the Japan Society curates "KRAZY! The Delirious World of Anime + Manga + Video Games," with gaming stations, stills from Akira, sketches for Super Mario, and a "manga pod." Saturday and Sunday, times vary; through 6/14.

HEAVY PETAL: Q: What has 50,000 heads, shows up once a year and camps out in the Bronx? A: The Glory of Dutch Bulbs show at the New York Botanical Garden. The thousands of tulips, narcissus and other bulb flowers - based on the Keukenhof Gardens in (where else?) the Netherlands -- should be at their blooming peak this weekend. Note to self: Buy Claritin. Saturday and Sunday, times vary.

OUR LIVES WOULD SUCK WITHOUT HER: If you have a tween, we don't need to tell you about Zootopia. For everyone else, this year Z100's radio-event-of-the-season serves up the Black Eyed Peas, All-American Rejects, Ciara, Flo Rida, Soulja Boy and Jesse McCartney, the whole lot headlined by Kelly Clarkson, who you have to admit is kind of awesome, if only for that YouTube clip where she sings GNR's Sweet Child of Mine, drunk, at another band's show, and utterly kills it. Izod Center, Sunday, 7:30PM.

BOOTKNOCKIN': From scratchy black and white stag films to that scene from Brown Bunny (no, we're not going to describe it here), Action: Sex and the Moving Image explores sex's influence on film -- and vice versa. Museum of Sex, Saturday and Sunday, times vary.
