What You're Doing This Weekend, 4/18-19

Arm wrestling gets its Beijing with the Big Apple Grapple, Earth Day brings the Go Green Expo to Midtown, and more events around town this weekend

ARMED AND DANGEROUS: Got what it takes to arm-wrestle your way to greatness at the Big Apple Grapple International Arm-Wrestling Championships? Yeah, us neither. We have the upper-body strength of a four-year-old. But that does qualify us to watch the action at Javits. Sat, 12:30-5:30PM.

LEAPIN' LIZARDS! Do you know all the lyrics to songs from the movie musical Annie? Better learn them before the screening-slash-singalong at 92YTribeca. Nobody likes a spotty "Tomorrow." Sat, 11PM.

EASY BEING GREEN: At the Go Green Expo this weekend, learn all about products and services that let you be eco-responsible without sacrificing style or convenience. Also, America's Next Top Model's Nigel Barker will be on hand to talk green-ness in that sexy accent of his. We'd totally compost for him. Hilton Midtown, Sat/Sun 10AM-6PM.

HIDDEN TALENTS: Bernie Williams -- yes, the ex-Yankee -- brings his Latin-flavored guitar stylings (what, you didn't know his second album, Moving Forward, came out on Tuesday?) and some surprise guests (Broooooce! At least we hope so) to the Nokia. Sat, 8PM.

BOY IN THE BUBBLE: So there's this huge plastic inflatable bubble called the Spaceblaster, made by a Berlin outfit called Raumlabor, right, and it's a portable party pavilion and it's going to be around town for the next few days. Still with us? There's a dinner-and-dance-party in the bubble somewhere in a secret Gowanus location, and you can go if you join Storefront's mailing list for details. Phew. Sat, 6:30PM.
