We Heart NY: Cocktails on a Stick

Anything worth drinking is worth freezing into a popsicle, right? Like Counter’s daiquiri, prosecco, and lemon verbena pops.

We’re not religious, but we swear to baby Buddha the advent of boozy popsicles comes straight out of our most fervent prayers.

Take the East Village’s Counter, for instance, where Urban Daddy notes they’ve just started serving frozen shots, a.k.a. boozy popsicles. For a paltry $6, you get a trio of fruity, alcoholic bliss on a stick: a blueberry lemon verbena vodka pop, a strawberry mint rum daiquiri pop, and a raspberry prosecco pop. Q: How does it get better than that? A: It doesn't.

Now if only the folks behind People’s Pops (who, we were bummed to read at Decider, are not enjoying their venture quite as much as much as we’d hoped) would start spiking their rhubarb shave ice, weekends at the Brooklyn Flea would be a lot more fun.
