The Derek Lam + eBay collection was presented during New York Fashion Week at Lincoln Center on Wednesday. Although the voting began promptly with the buyers and editors in attendance, it's the public who will ultimately determine which five of the 16 dresses will be produced.
The 16-piece collection includes minimalist cotton poplin day pieces in varying lenthgs, in fuschia, sapphire blue, and black, a few chambray shirt dresses, two boho-esque floral chemises (one long, one short), and black and white cotton poplin black-tie evening gowns.
From these selections, the public can vote for their top five favorites until March 1, at which point the final collection will be determined, and then offered for sale exclusively on eBay at fixed price points between $125 and $295. The sale date has not yet been announced, but you can sign up for a notification email. (You'll also be entered for a chance to win the final collection.)
