What It-blogger Leandra Medine, a.k.a. The Man Repeller, is coveting for spring.
Her blog, The Man Repeller, may be based around the notion that sartorial experiments often repel and disorient members of the opposite sex, but Leandra Medine's spring wishlist packs universal appeal. For example, who wouldn't agree that Zimmermann's double-print bikini is smack on trend this season? "I am all about the bikini top or bandeau as a blouse for spring, and no one has mastered the art of intricate pieces of cloth like Zimmermann."
La Garconne
A rugged utility parka is the perfect way to dress down a frilly spring ensemble. Isabel Marant's "Ulyse" jacket: "It ain't spring without something utility green-colored, and it's the perfect overcoat of sorts for most anything white or too fancy."
Minty-green hues were on a number of spring catwalks, and Miss Medine is jumping on the trend with Rochas' textured platform heels. "Nevermind the '50s-meets-'70s vibe on the shoe at large. They're also chunky and pastel, and will add a generous six inches to my silhouette."
Forward Forward
Medine is a master when it comes to print-mixing, so we weren't surprised that Thakoon's flouncy paisley-print shorts were among her spring must-haves. "I will always endorse the shorts-that-look-like-a-skirt look, and similarly, the shorts-so-short-you're-practically-naked look, especially when they're silk, printed, and turquoise."
Auriele Bidermann
As for accessories, Medine is keen on metallic chokers and quirky baubles this season. Auriele Bidermann lip choker: "Sometimes the mouth on my face gets tired, and I'd really like to have a spare pair nearby to defer to." Available at Five Story NY
