Thursday: Express to Stage Massive Sidewalk Runway Show

Between the massive Fashion's Night Out runway show at Lincoln Center and Target's kaleidoscopic catwalk at the Standard, it seems public fashion shows are becoming increasingly popular.

The latest brand to hop on the sidewalk-runway bandwagon is Express, who today announced plans to host a massive runway staging of its Spring 2011 collection on a 70-foot catwalk in Manhattan's Flatiron district. The show promises street-peepers a glimpse of "renowned models," according to the press release, as well as an exclusive after-party at Don Hill's in Tribeca. What's more, the whole shebang will be photographed for use as Express's Spring 2011 ad campaign.

Those eager to get in on the action should make their way to 23rd and Broadway on Thursday evening: The show starts at 5PM, but we'd advise getting there quite a bit earlier than that to get a good view of the catwalkers.
