Mon Dieu. It looks like Target has another sure-fire hit on its hands with Jason Wu for Target, based on the beyond-enthusiastic reception fashion editors and celebrities gave the collection at a splashy preview/shopping bash at Skylight SOHO Thursday night. Here, the man of the hour.

Here's Blake Lively before she stepped into the Parisian-themed party, complete with a cafe (where folks could sit at candle-lit tables and swill champagne), a Laduree macaron stand (helmed by charming attendants wearing striped Wu for Target knits), a "librarie," a fountain filled with white roses and, of course, a boutique where fashion editors and celebrities could shop the goods in advance.

The entire space was filled with real white roses. Wu apparently wanted "all white, all fresh," and he got it, along with a dedicated cast of A-list attendees sporting his designs. Here, "Shameless" star Emmy Rossum strikes a pose in Wu's romantic lace skirt.

Actress Jaime King looked 'tres charmant' in Wu's swishy printed skirt and smart, buttoned-up oxford.

King and Wu's cute dance on the red carpet also could have been interpreted as a sign of the minor melee to come: When the doors to the boutique opened, the horde of shoppers joyfully flooded the boutique, swiping dresses and blouses from the racks. Within the first 30 minutes, some coveted styles -- like a navy dress with a nipped-in waist and red stripes at the hem -- were completely sold out.

The most popular items at the exclusive sale (which are typically good indicators of what will prove popular once the line launches Feb. 5) were the aforementioned navy dress, a pleated peach dress with yellow and black stripes (here sported by Harley Viera Newton), a striped black-and-white knit sweater and the entire collection of bags.

Interestingly, items like the lace-trimmed black trench and simple striped A-line dresses lingered on the racks. We hope Chloe Mortez, who sported Wu's simple pleated skirt and bow-tie embellished blouse with particular aplomb, took the look home with her.

Model Shanina Shaik was also looking especially girlish and dewy in Wu's daisy-print sundress.

By 10:30 p.m., long after those who had just come to shop were already hunting for cabs in the rain, French pop singer Yelle (here on the red carpet) took the stage to serenade the remaining partygoers. See the entire Jason Wu collection for yourself.
