Sneak Peek: Rachel Antonoff's New Spring Shoes and Spooky Show

With just days to go before her spring 2012 presentation, designer Rachel Antonoff offered us a sneak peek of the Bass Loves Rachel Antonoff footwear set to be unveiled at her Thursday presentation.

On display are floral prints, polka dots, color blocks and metallic ombre on wedge sandals, saddle shoes, ballet flats and platforms. Then, of course, there is that trombone.

Antonoff has made a name for herself with spectacular Fashion Week shows that editors have come to relish amid a calendar packed with slick runway productions. Last season, the designer created a full-blown high school dance scene, where models dressed in the fall collection danced to live tunes by The Like in a gymnasium of a west side high school, with The Like playing. Nearby, It-girl Alexa Chung looked on amidst crepe paper and pink Sno-Balls.

That kind of inspired adventure seems like a hard one to top, although Antonoff is following up the mixer with a Fall lookbook shot at a miniature horse farm, and this season invites editors to the Ramscale building on the west side for what seems to be some kind of haunted affair.

When we asked Antonoff what to expect, she gave us a trademark eye-twinkle and just one word: "Boo!"
