Dreamworks now admits they regret giving permission to fashion mag VMan to use Shrek characters in this month's racy photo spread, but we must admit, Donkey's never looked better.

The shoot was meant to be a promotion for the upcoming fourth installment in the Shrek series, "Shrek: Forever And After." In that sense, it's great to see characters like Puss in Boots get some play in the glossies.

On the other hand, we can see how Dreamworks now thinks the whole thing was rather a misstep -- especially when one sees pictures of Shrek posed next to a scandily clad (but, let's face it, pretty awesome-looking) model.

Really, it was probably the spread of Donkey engaged in what looks to be a threesome with some scantily-clad models that really pushed the collaboration too far -- it certainly doesn't seem intended for the audience that the movie plans to cater to.

Princess Fiona feels rather well-repesented as a wind-blown warrior, even if the feuding rockers behind her seem a big incongruous.
