Rodarte Exhibit to Debut During Fashion Week

It's official: Rodarte mania is sweeping the nation. First, a wildly successful Target line, then a profile in The New Yorker, and now an exhibit at the Cooper-Hewitt.

The designers' most recent feature in The New Yorker really stressed the brand's focus on art over fashion, so it stands to reason that a museum exhibit would be the next step. The Cooper-Hewitt has chosen to kick off its "Quicktake" exhibit -- which will feature some of the most unique pieces from Rodarte's past seasons -- on the first day of New York Fashion Week, serving as the ideal intro to the cutting edge of American fashion. Kate and Laura Mulleavy have drawn inspiration for their collections from sources as widely varied as the California Condors and Boris Karloff as Frankenstein, so this exhibit is sure to be a feast for the senses.

Quicktake: Rodarte runs February 11 - March 14 at the Cooper-Hewitt, 2 East 91st Street.
