This weekend, Balmain will unveil its much-anticipated new diffusion line, Pierre Balmain, in Paris. Leading up to the launch, the brand has released the first of a series of videos giving folks a sneak peek at the goods.
The first video, by Inez and Vinoodh, stars model Abbey Lee Kershaw and the band Our Mountain (whose frontman, Matthew Hutchinson, happens to be Kershaw's boyfriend). According a release, the video is "inspired by the downtown cool, rock sensibility and international lifestyle" Kershaw embodies. (Kershaw is later described as "Our Mountain's femme fatale.")
Though Balmain is a Paris-based brand, the video is clearly shot in New York City, and gives the city a lot of screen time, overall. Those looking for a glimpse of the clothes can expect the label's signature slim-cut blazer and skinny-skinny pants with zipper details. The line will be priced lower than Balmain's main collection, but not all by all that much.
