Ever wonder what your favorite fashion designers keep stashed in their makeup bags? So do we, which is why we asked nine local talents to spill their daily beauty essentials.
nName: Erin Fetherston
nWarren Tricomi Blow-Dry Serum: "This is an amazing product for smoothing out hair after a blow-dry."
nChristine Chin Toner: "I love this toner because it really tights pores and seals in moisture. It's been an amazing addition to my skincare regiment."
nM.A.C. Black Liquid Eye Gel: This is the best product I've found for lining eyes. I use a brush to apply the gel. It's long-lasting, smudges much less than pencil and is easier to apply than liquid pens."

Name: Jen Kao
nOsis "Dust It": "I have a real appreciation for anything that means low-maintenance hair. 'Dust It' requires nothing but waking up and shaking the mattifying powder here and there for the perfect bedhead."
nLa Prairie Essence of Skin Caviar Eye Complex: "My mom tricked me into taking a little better care of myself by sharing this secret. This little gem, when applied before makeup, keeps eye makeup from melting down your face even in summer heat. I've tried every eyeliner under the sun, and trust me that this product is a savior for women that have trouble with keeping it on."
nSana Extra Heavy Eyeliner: "This Japanese over-the-counter eyeliner beats any designer product in the market when it comes to staying power. Without intentional removal, a cat eye can remain drawn sharp from dusk til dawn."

VEDA/Amazon.com
Name: Lyndsey Butler of VEDA
nAveeno Positively Radiant Moisturizer with SPF: "My really fancy dermatologist recommended this inexpensive drugstore face lotion to me years ago saying it was really the best thing around for a daily moisturizer, and I have been hooked ever since."
nManoi Coconut Oil: "I love the idea of smelling like the beach all year round and this does the trick while also keep my skin and hair feeling silky and smooth."
nManic Panic in "After Midnight Blue": "There is nothing like a little blue hair dye to spice up your look. When I am feeling a little 'blah,' a few pieces of blue mixed with my blonde locks really helps, and it washes out pretty easily so its not such a radical commitment."

Lauren Moffatt/Amazon.com
Name: Lauren Moffatt
n Weleda Skin Food: "I love this thick ointment-like cream that truly does feel like it's feeding your skin. Perfect for really dry days, and it smells amazing."
nBioElements Sleepwear Cream: "I swear by this at night. A really light cream perfect for sensitive skin."
nCherry Chapstick: "I have to stick to the classics here!"

nDiorShow Mascara: "Got it in a gift bag for Liz Goldwyn's book and never looked back. It gives me big lashes, just like I like!"
nDessert Essence 100% Pure Jojoba Oil: "Trying to reduce the number of chemicals in my products and using this straight-up pure oil certainly fits the bill. It does everything: eye makeup remover, moisturizer, hair treatment. A real multi-tasker."n
nNars Lipstick in "Heat Wave": "Red lipstick is like youth dew and this orange-red is my favorite shade."
nJane Iredale Pressed Mineral Powder: "This product gets high marks in the ingredients category (no nasty, bad-for-you chemicals) plus it contains sunscreen which is a major plus for a sun-phobe such as myself."

The Lake & Stars/Joe Fresh/Soap.com
Name: Nikki Dekker of the Lake & Stars
nTarte Tinted Moisturizer: "It's not as heavy as a foundation, but there's still enough coverage to blend everything with a natural look. It's also made of Amazonian clay so feels better than synthetic foundations."
nCover Girl Lash Blast Mascara: "I keep going back to this mascara. It's the only one that never clumps and actually separates and makes my spindly lashes look fuller (and it's cheap!)."
nName: Maayan Zilberman
nEgyptian Formula: "I use this as a moisturizer but also as a body cream in the winter and for my feet in the summer after being at the beach. I used to use pure olive oil, but this mixture (that you can only buy online or on TV) has beeswax too, which I love the smell of. I always love knowing it's food too, so it can go near your mouth."
nJoe Fresh Lip Tint: "I'm always looking for a great pigmented lip stain that doesn't feel too dry or tickle my lips when I apply it...and they often taste icky. This one, from my favorite Canadian store that just debuted in NYC, is a gel, so it feels nice and it tastes kind of fruity. Their summer colors are great—I got them all."n

The Reformation/Beauty.com
Name: Yael Aflalo, designer of The Reformation
nRGB Nail Polish: "This is easy for me because we recently launched our Eco Apothecary at Reformation, NAKED, and it is filled with all my favorite products. RGB polish has no formaldehyde, which is a known carcinogen you find in most other nail polishes, and is made in the USA. I have been really into the 'Toast' color; it's a perfect taupe that goes with any skin tone."
nJao Goe Oil: "This product is amazing! It's 100 percent natural. It has no parabens, sulphites, or synthetic fragrance. It is a multi-purpose oil that you can use all over your body and even in your hair. It lasts longer than regular moisturizer and replaces natural oils that your body loses from age, stress, weather etc. I feel like it revives my skin and gives me a natural glow."n
nSprout Lip Balm: Sprout is a great line. Their products are vegan with zero chemicals, and made right in Brooklyn. I don't wear much makeup, but I always keep a lip balm on me. This one seriously feels like you are putting butter on your lips. The cinnamon is super cinnamon-y, and you can just tell it is made with natural ingredients.

nM.A.C. Lipstick in Lady Danger: "My go-to bright red. Adds a nice pop of color year round. I also couldn't deal without good old fashioned Chapstick. I always keep it on me."
n Essie Polish in "French Affair": "My favorite pink. It is really opaque and looks mod with a summer tan."
