In today's "say-it-aint-so" news, Miley Cyrus' younger sister, Noah Cyrus, will launch a clothing line with Ooh! La, La! Couture and baby Hannah Montana co-star, and BFF, Emily Grace Reaves. The line will debut on Valentine's Day.
But wait, it gets worse. The Emily Grace Collection, which, as it happens, not only involves little mini-Cyrus and Ooh! La, La! but also Rob Robinson and Fred Segal, aims to put nine-year-old girls (and some teens) in clothing that is trendy and sweet, but edgy.
Hold on a minute. Hasn't Billy Ray's brood learned their lesson? Miley's posing topless in Vanity Fair didn't exactly go over smoothly. The promotional video of Reaves sporting a dress from the line is terrifying -- think hooker-for-babies. The sad thing is, combine a bare tween midriff and the name "Cyrus" and you've got a gold mine. This stuff will sell, which is a good thing for the Lollipops & Rainbows charity it will benefit.
We hate to age ourselves, but the best of intentions doesn't excuse fingerless gloves and skintight animal prints on little girls. Right? We remember when criss-crossing your velcros was considered "edgy".
