Chapman calls Resort 2012, a "palette cleanser" from their fall 2011 collection, which was dark and brooding and took its inspiration from Victoriana. This collection highlights bright colors like fuchsia, yellow, seafoam and coral.
Craig says the inspiration for the collection came from Slim Aaron's book A Place in the Sun a photographic look at the jet set of 1950 and 1960s.
The glamor of the "golden age" of Hollywood captured in the book is evident in everything from the mini gold cocktail dresses, to the label's minaudieres this season.
Much of the collection has built-in jewelry, like this goddess coral gown.
Craig refers to the color of this dress as "swimming-pool green" which she feels perfectly captures the mood of vacationing.
The focus on goddess shapes this season aims to appeal to women looking for wear-ability and easy-going evening looks.
Marchesa, while known for its dramatic eveningwear, is finding success with their day to evening bags, like this oversize leopard clutch.
Intricate shoulders have become a trademark of Marchesa. Shoulders are emphasized in this collection on cocktail dresses to caftans.
This leopard dress with a band of turquoise beading around the waist takes its inspiration from Grace Kelly in To Catch a Thief.
Short dresses with a mod 1960s silhouette pop up throughout the collection.
Beading on the evening clutches often reflects the beading done on the evening gowns.
Marchesa collections are all about the details. The white gown on the left features crystal beaded cuffs that require a zipper, and the dress on the right features intricate Fortuny-style pleats.
Christian Louboutin collaborated on the intricately beaded stilettos for this collection and Miriam Haskell collaborated on the jewelry.

Marchesa gowns regularly land on the red carpet, which often leads one to wonder which star will end up sporting one of these glamorous pieces.
