Lifetime Reveals Lineup of “Project Runway All Stars”

Lifetime today announced the lineup for its upcoming series, "Project Runway All Stars", which will premiere later this year with 13 of the series' most memorable past stars competing for the top prize.

According to a press release, the hall-of-fame cast includes the show's "most memorable, opinionated, adored and feared designers," like Austin Scarlett, Sweet P, and Mondo Guerra, as well as the always-controversial season eight contestant, Michael Costello. Rounding out the cast: Kara Janx, Kenley Collins, Rami Kashou and Mila Hermanovski, Elisa Jimenez, Jerell Scott, Gordana Gehlhausen, Anthony Williams, and April Johnston. Sadly, that does not include the most famous Project Runway alum, Christian Siriano, or favorites Jeffrey Sebelia, Jay McCarroll and Santino Rice.

Judges Isaac Mizrahi and Marchesa's Georgina Chapman will hold court over the star contestants, while . Marie Claire editor-in-chief Joanna Coles has Tim Gunn shoes to fill as the show's mentor. Model Angela Lindvall is taking on Heidi Klum's job of hosting this version of the franchise.

The prize package on All Stars includes a contract with Neiman Marcus, a feature in and guest-editor gig at Marie Claire, $100,000 from HP and sewing equipment from Brother.

The announcement of All Stars comes just after the premiere of a somewhat lackluster season nine for the show, presumably to hold court with newer, glossier fashion-based reality shows -- NBC's much-hyped Fashion Star, for one -- slated for the fall season. Also in the works for the 2011-2012 season, The Cut reports, is a Project Runway spin-off called Project Runway Accessory.
