Lagerfeld Heads to NYC for Latest Campaign

This week, keep your eyes peeled for Kaiser Karl's white ponytail bouncing down the sidewalk: the designer is heading to NYC to shoot Chanel's spring 2013 campaign, which will star supermodel Stella Tennant and 16-year-old rising talent, Ondria Hardin, who made her catwalk debut just last fall at Marc Jacobs.

Given her inexperience, Karl is impressed by Ondria's composure in front of the camera. "She doesn’t look 15. She looks 18 or 19,” he told WWD.

Stella, of course, was an easy pick for Lagerfeld. "Stella has such a style,” Lagerfeld explained. “Stella is, for me, the perfect Chanel woman.”

The designer's New York tour will also include apparances at Harper's Bazaar—for whom he is photographing a new spring editorial—and a speech at WWD's CEO summit.
