Lady Gaga continues her march through the ranks of high fashion, snagging the arm of Miuccia Prada for tonight's much-anticipated Met Gala. What's more, we hear she'll actually perform at the event!
The designer and the red carpet eccentric will walk the red carpet at this evening's gala with all eyes out for Gaga's latest sartorial installation. She went intergalactic in Armani for this year's Grammys, and in the last 30 days has defiled an Hermes Birkin with marker adn worn a white lace bodysuit for a MAC event -- who knows what she'll create for this event.
The choice for Gaga to align herself with Prada for the event makes sense given that the pop star wore a dress custom-designed by the brand for the UK leg of her recent Monster Ball tour. The dress was apparently had an 18th century flair, so we'll just have to wait and see if the Italian label's creation for tonight's "American Woman" event will be similarly historic in design. January Jones, Diane Lane, Taylor Swift, Jessica Biel, M.I.A., Kirsten Dunst and more are all slated to hit the red carpet at tonight's event -- here's hoping the rain stays away.
