Know Right Now: Lingerie by Jean Yu

Sure, not nearly as many people are going to see your underpants as, say, your wool beanie cap (or so we assume), but there's something irresistable about fancy lingerie and frilly underpinnings.  NYC-based designer, Jean Yu, is the latest to bewitch us with a collection of intimates that reinterprets Old Hollywood glamour with a few innovative--if not downright futuristic--design twists.

Yu updates familliar silhouettes like the soft triangle bralette with risque geometric cut outs, unusual layering techniques, and the occasional elastic belly strap (the exact purpose of which is still TBD, but hey, it looks cool).  Her signature deep-V onesies with bum-grazing hemlines make flirty sleepwear options, as do her sheer, square-necked nighties. Though experimental, Yu's distinctive pieces are still accessible, and would suit stylish lingerie-seekers of all ages. We think the ivory satin bralette would be particularly charming peeking out beneath a floaty tank this spring.
