Jimmy Choo's $600-Plus Sneakers Drop Next Month

Back in January, Jimmy Choo announced it would launch a line of "trainers" (Brit-speak for sneakers), and the collection of seriously high-end kicks will be hitting stores in May.

The lookbook for the complete new collection went out today and the styles feature both high-top and low-top silhouettes in patent leather, metallic, and yes, even snakeskin.

Jimmy Choo has truly been all over the map of late, from a much-hyped collaboration with H&M (we're not sure the salespeople at the Fifth Avenue H&M have yet recovered) and more recently, partnerships with both Hunter boots and UGG. High-end sneakers may seem like a rather out-of-left-field proposition for a brand better known for stilettos, but the market for kicks is far-reaching and often quite high-end, so who knows, perhaps a $600 sneaker doesn't seem like a wild proposition to some. We'll just have to wait and see how they sell in the stores come May.
